go back for Rad Tech program?

  1. 0 I am a new grad RN and found that I have a keen interest in radiology, CT, MRIs, etc. Acutally found that I love working with technology more than direct patient care. Right now I am feeling bummed that I sacrificed a lot of time and money to get my RN instead of Rad Tech or Diagnostic Tech. Can anyone tell me if I really need to go back to school for a rigorous 2 yr program in RT or would I be able to obtain a job as a radiology nurse? How useful are RNs in this setting? Thanks in advance
