2 total care patients for one nurse

is it possible to do private duty to 2 total care patients ie vent/ lifting /etc at 35$/hr for 8 hours all located one and a half hour away from me?is this legal for agency to pay one rn and do two total care patients with vent and no help?????

this is a for profit home health and staffing agency.....pls send help and advice....

Your post is somewhat confusing. Are you talking about two people in two locations or two people at one location? I was asked to do a case one time when there would be a second child at the home also with problems and I was only going to be paid for taking care of one. I did not accept the case.

They want to assign you a husband and wife, both total care, in the same home...and pay you for the care of only one? That is how I interpret your post and I say that your "for profit" company is getting a case of the greeds. NO, I would not agree to that assignment.

thanks guys...that was what i meant..x2 total care vent patients in one roof ...one rn/no cna/no help...one pay at 35$/hr for 8 hour....yes..this is a for profit agency....the owners are not even nurses.....greed ...greed...greed...and yes this assisgnment was located at the other side of the earth.....we also have the crappiest winter in the face of the planet...plus my health...back/knees...you name it hurt....

sorry my english is so crappy...still no job in sight for now....i am waiting to hear on hospital for part time position on monday....PRAY FOR ME.....I AM SOOOOOO TIRED WITH MY HIT AND MISS JOB DOING AGENCY .....it is destroying my mind....cancel here and there....sorry for my vent...

By the way, one time I saw the rates one of my employers charges for two patients. It is obvious that you would not have been sharing in the double rate income from the case.
