Take the easy option - with no potential for a GPA 'ding'. Nursing school admissions are focused on your pre-requisites & GPA, additional electives will not impress them. You can always take some CE courses on toxicology later on if it interests you.
That was my gut feeling. Thanks for the feedback!

I know this is a question for my pre-nursing advisor, but I need to give the registrar an answer by Thursday. If history is any indication, my advisor will not respond by then.
I'm in a 3 + 2 program where I spend 3 years earning a Bio degree and completing my nursing pre reqs, and then 2 years in nursing school.
Long story short, I got stuck in an ecology class next semester. This is fine and in no way interferes with my timeline for getting into nursing school. It is still a bio class, which I need for my major. I even know the professor pretty well, and I'm sure the class will be great.
Today I found out that a spot opened up in a Toxicology class, which is more relevant and will probably look better to nursing schools (maybe?). But this is a professor notorious for being an incredibly harsh grader, and also just not the nicest in general.
So I guess what I'm asking is would you take the less relevant class where an A is more likely, or a more relevant class but an almost definite struggle for a B?
