in and out of school? In school, i'm so afraid of Microbiology. I don't know how i'll get through it. After school, i am scared of giving people IV's. they DO show you how to do that in class right? I'd HATE to mess up on someone.

Honestly, I'm really not *afraid* of anything. Now, that's not to say that there isn't anything that I'm not looking forward too. I'm not looking forward to pharmacology, but I know I'll make it through. I survived micro, A&P, and chem...I'm sure I'll survive this one too.I'm not looking forward to having to "clean up" a patient who's soiled or puked on themselves (or, *gasp*, on me).But other than that, I'm eager to learn as much as I can & become the best nurse I can be.

Wow..lets see if I can narrow them down to a few
Not getting into the nursing program
Not finding the money to go. (No pell grant even though my husband has been disabled for the last 7 months.)
Getting sick all the time from being around sick people (my immune system is low) with no insurance. (cant afford it)
Getting through the next 2 yrs so I can support myself and my disabled husband...
I am soooo happy to be getting the opportunity to go back to school after 20 yrs. I should have went when I got out of high school. (Didn't need to go, I had a husband with a good job.) :rotfl:

My worst fear is not being able to handle the courseload next year, and still have some time for my family and myself, and keep my sanity. I say to myself that other people have done it successfully and so can I, but it's scary. :stone

Thats exactly what you have to keep telling yourself too. That you are going to make it through cause there are thousands who came before you with the same concerns and fears you have now.
