TEAS testing and Worried!!!

You'll have to check with the schools specifically. For the school I'm applying to, the TEAS score is 25% of the admission criteria, along with 25% A&P I grade and 50% GPA. But I know that there are very wide variations between schools and their criteria. Best of luck.

Thank you, so 75% technically, is our GPA. I feel better.

I think it depends on your school. My school the TEAS test is 100% of getting in. Whoever gets the highest scores in math and science combined gets a seat. And you get to add on 3 points for an A in A&P. Thats it, they dont look at GPA at all. Of course you still need to have at least a C in all the courses that are needed to graduate but thats it.

some schools have a scale that awards points depending specifically what percentile you score in. Others will just give you the same amount of points for a certain cuttoff such as 75%. You will have to look into each school. If you feel uneasy about your score, study then retake it again.

The school I am applying for will only let you take the TEAS once a year, therefore, I would have to wait and re-apply next year.

yikes!! well in that case, I would suggest just to apply to whichever nursing programs that you can. If you are limited to what areas you can go to then research all the programs around you.

most california schools you can only take the teas a limited # of times. The school I want to do to only accept the first 2 teas score (the highest score of course) but that is it. you can never improve your competitiveness cuz your stuck w/ your score forever. it not like you re-take the test every year and improve your score.
