Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hey I just need to be told the truth. The recommended score for my hesi 75 for ASN. My cumulative score was a 77.5. I did well in all sections but anatomy where I got a 64 in.. Everything else I scored 75 and above. I have a 3.0 GPA on the spot. My thing is will they honestly throw out my application because of that ONE score. I know they take into an account what you do outside of school too. I am a pharmacy technician full time. I want to go into nursing to mainly help with the shortage of male nurses but also I can't see myself doing anything else. Guys I am tearing myself apart here. Do you honestly think I could still get in? I know BSN is out of the question but I am applying for both regardless.

Speaking strictly based on the minimum passing score requirement of 75, you do not have a chance. However, you took the test, got your scores, completed the pre-reqs, spent (I think) money and all, so go ahead and apply anyway. You never know. Good luck! Btw, can you still retake the Anatomy portion of the test?

You are only allowed to take it twice and it was my second time. Literally I meet EVERY requirement but anatomy hesi slipped up. That will be so annoying /:

To be honest I don't think you will get in. For my ADN program they are VERY strict about the 75 or higher requirement. Your school might give you a third try to take the exam but I think you need to send in an appeal or something and they don't always grant it.
