at this point I dont care my gpa is high but in my liberal arts degree.... and most of my sciences are As and Bs but I got an f in chem and a C in nutri. and it brought me down to a 2.76... I am lost now... I really want a bsn because i already have a AAS but I will take ADN if i can get in... unfortunately I cant seem to pass entrance exams
I made an F in a Creative Writing class (in 2006, I was young and carefree and never went to class) I retook it and got an A but the BSN programs I'm applying to calculate all attempts at classes leaving my otherwise high GPA at a 3.27. School are super competitive for nursing for the pure fact that right now everyone wants to go into the field and there just aren't enough schools to allow that to happen. I think a few new nursing schools are opening up in 2014, you may want to try them and until then maybe try applying to private schools?
I applied for the Spring 2014 BSN program at my state university. I have a really good TEAS score, lots of work experience (I owned my own company for 6 years), as well as what I think to be an overall strong application. The school I'm applying to looks as applicants holistically and applicants are admitted based on if they are better than the other applicants of the cycle. I feel confident and optimistic.

I need schools out of state, I am from NYC and I cant seem to catch a break out here, I am getting really tired and discouraged.
