I'm getting ready to write the PSB, probably sometime next month or early October. I am killing myself over the math. Is there really a lot of math on there? I just have a stress-related problem knowing we cannot use a calculator. I'm not too great at paper math in all honesty. I believe I'll be just fine on every other portion of the exam. If it wasn't for my fear of math, I would have already taken it by now! What were your experiences from the math portion and am I over-exaggerating my stress levels for nothing? :uhoh3:

I took the PSB this month - but it was for the RN program so I'm not sure how different it is. I heard it is the same except for some of the science, but I'm not sure....

Anyway, the math was basic 8th grade math. No geometry or very complicated algebra. You didn't need to know any formula's etc...

I scored in the 90th percentile and up for all categories EXCEPT for reading comprehension. I don't know what happened there...I only scored a 55 percentile. They only gave us 15 mintues and I got very nervous and very caught up on some of the scientific jargon uses in the passage I was reading. I obviously bombed that part. Since the school I wanted to go to only lets you apply if you are higher than the 65th percentile in all sections, I can't apply there. But that's ok. I have found other schools who either have lower entrance exam percentage requirements or who take the test as part of the WHOLE package (esssay, GPA, college transcripts, etc...) rather than the test being the whole package.

Good luck! Don't panic during any of the sections. I definitely did during the reading - knowing that I was running out of time...and it obviously hurt me....
