My First Choice Nursing School Requires Net Test Prior To Admissions? Anyone Familiar With It? How's The Math And Science On It? What's The Difference Between This And Others?

The NET doesn't have any science on it. It's just a basic competency test. There is reading and some very basic math/algebra (about 8th grade level).

Hi SKYSTHELIMIT.
It's a simple exam, and its basically English and Basic Math as JKCMom said. There's a study guide you can buy that will give you a very good idea of what to expect and some practice material.
Good Luck.
thanks for ur responses

For the nursing school, i'm applying to we have to take the HOBET exam which I hear is very similar to the NET. They told us to be sure and review decimals, percents, fractions, and basic algebraic equations for the math part and no calculators allowed on ours ! I will be taking it within the next month. Best wishes.

I took the NET exactly a week ago.
The first section is usually a math section. It is only on the four basic operations and soling simple algebraic equations. Then, there is the reading comprehension section which I found a little hard (and I had 99th percentile on the TEAS and NLN exams...). There is a lot to read, so don't get behind. Almost all questions relate to the main idea, what you can conclude from a passage, what you can infer, etc... There is also a grammar section with questions like spelling, capitalization, etc... Finally, there are a lot of questions that you will have to answer to determine if you will need learning skills counseling and to assess your learning style. They are not used to determine your acceptance into the program.
I bought the preparattion book - a tiny book that sell for $32 with shipping: a ridiculous price. Some of the information was definitely useful, but I thought it did not give a very good idea of a sample exam. If you are interested in buying the book, I would be happy to sell you mine for a cheaper price...
Good luck!
