Here's the deal fellow pre-reqers. I have 37 credits left to transfer to my BSN dream school. Now that I know what I want to do I don't want to take longer than I have to to become a nurse. So I'm aiming for Spring 2014 acceptance. I was going to take an accelerated 2 week winter class (-3 credits) 5 spring classes (-16 credits) A&P boot camp over the summer which is 16 weeks of A&P I and A&P II(-8 credits) and then 4 fall classes (-13 credits)

Am I crazy to try and compact this into 1 year. I only work 1 or 2 days a week and have my fiancees full support. I am an A student currently, but I've only been taking 1-3 classes a semester on and off since I graduated high school in 2006 (I previously worked full time.)
What is the craziest your schedule has been? What classes WOULDN'T you take together and why? I know everyone has different weaknesses, but it's nice to be presented with different struggles of different people to think about all the possibilities. What does your "push to the finish" look like?
I did it, you can too. I am currently in a ABSN program. Before I was accepted, I took: AP1, AP2, Chem 101, nutrition, developmental psych online, interpersonal communication during spring semester spread across 3 different colleges. Summer load: Abnormal psych, micro, org/biochem. Fall: stat, wait for nursing school interview invitations to be sent out. Following spring: nursing school interview and eventual acceptance. Like I said, I did it, others can too. I knew it would be hard, but that's why it feels so good knowing I'm in nursing school now and it feels great. You can do it, don't ever let anyone say you are crazy or that you can't. Just wait till you get that big beautiful envelope with those magic words inside "congratulations! You have been accepted to....." the hard work and long nights of studying will be worth it and you will let the satisfaction of your hard work wash over you as you get ready to embark on a new journey. Good luck!
