Massasoit Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I keep searching for the Massasoit 2018 applicants waiting for someone to create a post so i figured i would just start it off! How does everyone feel about their application!? When I went to the information session, they said that everyone with a 55 and higher was accepted for the last cohort. I have a 60 not including what they give me for my personal interest letter so I am feeling semi confident lol. I hate waiting!!

I applied for fall 2018. I just was accepted at BCC for fall, but Massasoit is my first choice. I got such a great feeling when visiting here and from all the feedback of past and present students I feel Massasoit is the best deal for me. I know we have ways to go waiting. I have a 65 for the rubric total points. I feel like a get another grey hair daily waiting to find out about acceptances.

Hello,

I applied to the program as well. I estimated that I have about 64 total points out of the rubric. Had a great letter of recommendation and felt as though I had a strong letter of interest. I am feeling hopeful about getting in!

Stinks that we have to wait until May to find out about acceptances.

It is so hard waiting. I read some threads from last year and they found out at end of April. Praying for quick responses so we can all get our lives organized.

I think you need to request for this discussion to be moved to the Massachusetts nursing section. You'll probably get a lot more posters and comments in that area ☺

oh wow how did you find out about bcc so quickly!? I applied for the dental hygiene program at bcc I hate that neither school will allow you to apply towards more than one selective program

Hello all. I also applied for Massasoit and currently waitlisted at BCC. I feel my chances are better for Massasoit so keeping my fingers crossed! I like both schools so would like to get into one of them this year

Hi guys! I applied as well, I have a 58.5 on the rubric without my personal letter which im hoping I get at least 3 points for!! I'm hoping the volume of high rubric scores isn't going to push me out of the chance. I think the hardest part for me was the TEAs test, I studied so much for it and only got a 67.8. Did anyone else have trouble on their TEAs?

Yessss! The teas is no joke! I should have given myself time to take it again

Hello all! I also applied to MCC. My very rough estimate for the rubric puts me between 63.5 - 66.5 points. My individual adjusted score on the TEAS is 76.7, although I wish I retook it before the Feb. 26th deadline. A woman in admissions and at the info session I attended in December said that you could take it at least twice with no time limit in between and that they would accept the higher of the two scores.

I really hated that exam, lol...

The waiting game really stinks. I'm wishing all of us here lots of good luck :-)

It seems as though we are all very qualified applicants for the program!

I got a 76.7 as well on the TEAS. The science portion was hard and my biggest struggle.

I am wondering how many people applied this year. I believe in the info session they said if they get over 200 applicants then they select the top 50 people with the highest rubric scores? and about 15 go on the waiting list. ( I can't remember the exact number of seats available)

Hi kjs91,

The woman at my info session said they accept 56 students for the day program. When its time to have a new evening cohort, they accept 32 students to that program every 3 years. I didn't know about the number of students who make it onto the wait list. Thank you for that info!

Also, I do agree with you: there are certainly a lot of great candidates posting on this board =)
