Just took the HESI A2!!!!!!

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

and I passed! yeah! :yeah:

The math and grammar sections were all pretty easy. The HESI study guide was very helpful in all of these areas. I brushed up on my math directly from there and it was all I needed. Now the reading... I have mixed feelings about this. Even though this is one my strongest areas, I felt it was very tricky. I used process of elimination most of the time bc maybe 2 of the answers seemed correct. I got a 92% in this section. The passages are very short and appear in a different window that stays up the whole time. I didnt see how you can close this box... it changes passages as you go.

Unfortunately, the HESI study guide was not any help for the A&P test. I honestly do not know how I passed. I felt like I was guessing on every question. I studied the study guide exclusively and it did help, but just a little. The questions were in very much depth! I cannot remember many of them and they were not basic at all! I thought I was going to fail! I am so relieved that it is over and I am hoping to start my program this fall! Now I am sooo excited about Pharmacology this summer!! Just know your WBC, function of nerves, function of muscles, know the heart, oh and study the MAJOR parts of the cell. Not every detail. That is all i can remember for now.

THE Hesi study guide is good to brush up on everything except for the A&p portion. Save your money and buy another A&P study guide.

thanks for the tips... i have to take this version of the entrance tests as well.

congratulations!

and enjoy the pharmacology because i certainly did!

AZMOM,

No problem ;)

The HESI study guide is a great review for the math section. I didnt see anything in the guide on military time, but it is on the test. Other than that, everything that you see in there for the math is all you need to focus on. JASONZ-posted a lot of questions that he remembered from the test on saturday from the A&P section. If I can find the post I can give you more tips.

As for the reading section I did a few reading practice tests from here:

Good LUCK! :nuke:

When I took it there were also questions about roman numerals, and conversions factors which are all in the book. Study those cause they will be on there.
