Jefferson Community College RN program Watertown, Ny.

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi there! im thinking about applying to jefferson community college for the RN program but I am so confused on their program. I am from Wa. and may possibly try to attend this school. I know the program is a two year program and that to get in you must have bio, chem, algebra completed beforehand. Does this mean that you complete A and P 1 and 2 , stats, psychology, microbiology and all of those other classes while in the two year program? I am confused because I have finished all of these classes allready and want to know if I will not have to take them if that is the case! Also can I have general tips about the program is it very competitive? Do I need to take the TEAS test is it a good program etc. I also would like to know if there is any BSN schools near Watertown. Thank you in advance and help is appreciated!

Stephanie, if you have already taken the classes then you wont have to take them again, as long as they transfer. I do not know anything about your school in specific, but most RN schools are competitive. I would call the secretary of the RN program there and schedule a time to meet. That is your best bet to make sure you will have everything done. Oh and don't forget to bring your transcripts!

Thank you! So those classes are apart of the program? So would I only have to take those few nursing classes then and not worry about the rest I've already done? That would make the work load so much lighter! Do you think having my associates of pre nursing already will help my chances of being accepted?
