I need help with A&P2

Im not acing my a&p class, at this point i am failling miserably i need help. Any advice?

I know how hard it can be...I am currently enrolled in California University of Pennsylvania Human Anatomy and Physiology 2. It is fully online, 4 credits, crammed into 8 weeks. I am on my 2nd to last week. I have managed to keep up an A, but I believe it is mainly due to the fact the my professor hasn't said that we are not allowed to look at notes on an exam, so if I get stuck on a question, I can go back a review. The labs have been tricky, as I always need to find someone I can palpate on. The chapter assessments take me at least 3-4 hours. To say, it takes up most of my time, and weekends are a things of the past right now, as I constantly do school.

All in all I feel I have learned a lot, but off the top of my head, I also can't think of anything...I do have all my notes, and will be studying up for my giant final next week. As long as the test isn't timed, I'll be fine. If it is timed, I'm screwed. B/c when I see the timer counting down, I forget everything I barely knew. Since all the material is crammed, I feel I only have enough time to learn it well enough to pass the test that week, but I don't learn it well enough to remember in the coming weeks and months.

However, do you have any questions in particular? Need any help?

I dont have a particular question because i have not had the time to study. I am a social worker with a full caseload by the time i get home im so tired. Im currently studying blood vessels.

I forgot to metion that my classes are also online. Im taking a 10 week course and im currently on my second week.

It is definitely a bit different then mine...I learned about blood vessels in A&P 1. What textbook are you using? I have Hole's Essentials of Human Anatomy and Physiology 12th Edition. Cal U utilizes Connect - which ultimately has the whole textbook online, highlights important text that questions will be one - as you read the textbook, you can take a break and answer questions on what you have read. It's fairly helpful.

Im using marieb and hoehn 5th edition. Anatomy & Physiology.

I haven't used that :-( Sorry! I wish I could be of more help. The hardest thing for me to remember are cells, I also found the nervous system very hard! Going through my textbook real quick, focusing on the blood chapter, I barely found anything on blood vessels.

I know how hard it can be to decide and figure out what is important or not. Try to focus on anything that is bold, and possibly at the start of each section/paragraph. Don't stress, it only makes it worse...I stress waay too much. Also remember, you are on your second week out of ten. You have along ways to go. Don't be afraid to email your professor and ask what is important to focus on.

You already said why you are failing, you have no time. Either find the time or get out, you can't half ass things like that.

You either need to make the time or take the class another time. None of us can help you if you aren't studying.

That is true. Im going study every night and every morning for 1 hour. On the weekends ill complete my lab assignments.

I see a lot of people saying if you don't have the time...don't do it. I see what they are saying, but sometimes we don't have a choice. I do have the ability to work less right now, since I am in high school and live with my parents, I don't need money for rent...I work 20-30hrs a week.

I would definitely set aside time to study for sure, but I would definitely try asking the professor what would be important to focus on.

Science has always been my kriptonite. I have a lot on my plate but i believe that i can manage. Vasoconstriction is when the muscle contracts but i need an example.
