Hello! I have found my passion. I want to become a midwife! Unfortunately, I feel that I should have come to this conclusion prior to completeing my Bachelors. I have 4 year degrees in both Chemistry and Biology from a liberal arts school. After doing research, it appears that I have to go backwards in getting another Bachelors, this time of nursing. I am wondering what my best path through school would be to end with a degree of doctor of nursing practice, nurse-midwife specialty (which I hope to complete at the University of MN). Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Skip the bachelors and apply for those Entry-Level Masters Programs to Nursing. Generally every university will have this type of program: First year is super accelerated RN and the remaining two years are for your MSN.

Admission Requirements - School of Nursing - University of Minnesota

Have a baccalaureate degree in a non-nursing field.
