[color=#b22222]so im currently a highschool senior and i was wondering wether i should go to hbu or chamberlain i know i can get accepted into either of them but im undesisive on which one is better.. after completing a bsn i wanted to become an np..:icon_roll

hbu pros:

university

is well-known

has a bsn nursing program

hbu cons:

it is about a thousan or so more dollars in tuition than chamberlain

their bsn program is 4 years..

their application process is more lenghty

chamberlain pros:

bsn program is 3 years

cheaper tuition

new institution

good equipment

chamberlain cons:

is a colledge

fairly new program

almost as expensive as hbu but is not a university..

[color=#b22222]so if anyone who is a student or was has any views on which i should pick please reply with reasons why you think one is better

thanks :):nurse:

Are they both accredited?

Yes they both are

Yes they both are

No, they aren't. HBU is, Chaimberland is not. The school is accredited, but the program itself is not. It's approved to exist by the state of Texas, but not accredited. Hence, they're ads saying you can "start right away." Fewer people are willing to go there than to accredited programs.

Here's a list of all the accredited programs in Texas

Is not being accredited a really bad thing?

A couple threads below this one is a discussion on this exact topic. Bottom line... Yes it is

Really ill try to look for that post so you think HBU would be a better choice?

wow i looked at it the funny thing is that HBU and chamberlain cost about the same per year -.-
