I am so over wondering & worrying!!

Hi everyone! It's Spring break, but unfortunately, loads to do to stay on track for when we get back to it... :uhoh3: I find out if I get into the nursing program I applied to by June 15th for the Fall semester, & I'm so sick of wondering what that letter will say! Anyone constantly thinking about what they will do if they don't get in where they applied? I am trying tro come up with plan B, plan C, etc., but its so frustrating! The impacted programs in my area are literally making it impossible to enter any nursing program for next Fall. I guess the shortage is not necessarily for lack of people wanting to be nurses, but the wait lists & lack of funds to educate more students seems to be the problem. Anyone else feeling like it may never happen? :o

I definitely hear you!! I think about it everyday, what will I do if I get in, what will I do if I don't get in!!!??? I have been making myself crazy for the past six months or so, always trying to plan, always surfing the internet to try and find other programs to apply. I ended up applying to 2 schools for the fall, and if I don't get in for fall 2005, I have 2 schools I will be applying to for spring 2006.

I am constantly trying to save money so whenever I get in to a program I will be able to work part-time. I think I am making my boyfriend crazy because I am always talking about different options and what I will be doing in nursing school. He is happy for me because I have really found an interest and something I really want to do but I really have to start taking one day at a time and slow myself down. I feel very caught up in everything!

thanks so much for your support... :icon_hug: it does make you feel better when you know others understand & you aren't alone. i do need to just slow down, & focus on the last 8 weeks of the semester - who knew it would be harder & more stressful trying to get into a program than the prereqs? :rolleyes: just kidding! but in all seriousness, my husband & i are contemplating a move so that i can be closer to a program that is accepting students. anyone else willing to do this?

No problem! I am glad this website is here, so we can support eachother in the struggles and stresses of nursing school! :)

I am not sure if I would considering moving to get into a program.

I still live with my parents, I support myself for the most part, but I could never afford to pay rent and go to nursing school. If I was married I might consider it. If I do not get accepted to either program I applied to for fall, I am considering a program that is about 45 minutes away from my house, so we'll see!

Good luck! And yes getting into a nursing program is more stressful then then prereq's!! :)
