HGTC acceptance

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hi everyone,

I'm finishing up my prereqs for HGTC's program. I'm wondering what everyone's GPA, TEAS and acceptance points were for those that have been accepted recently.

I currently have:

GPA -3.1 - overall (mostly from when I was young and stupid while completing my first degree)

TEAS - 83 and retaking this Sat.

Points for HGTC - 9 or 10 depending on how Health Calc finishes this semester.

My plan right now is to apply in Aug. for the spring start, and if not accepted, to apply for the LPN program and then the Advanced RN once finished. I've tried to talk to my adviser about the different routes but I am not satisfied with her at all and apparently switching is not allowed. I'll just say that thanks to her "guidance" I am taking 5 classes this semester to "graduate" with another Associate Degree in Health Science, I was denied financial aid because I was advised to retake one class that put me over the hours limit, and she advised me not to apply to the ADN program in March without 10 pts for acceptance, I had 8 at the time, and now she is telling me I should have applied them because the lower admits were only at 7 pts. Grrrrrr....

Thanks for all your help!

Hey pandora55, I got into the spring class with a score of 13 using the TEAS route. My TEAS was a 94. I used a thread from here to prepare. Hope you got in!
