Help Please!! Withdraw from A&P??

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hi guys,

So i've been doing poorly in anatomy at UIC. I recently had an exam, and they posted the answer key. From what i graded, I dont think I did too well. I got a bad grade before too. Before this class, my GPA was above a 3.5. I was thinking of withdrawing. I wanted at least a B and I feel that I cant get that either. We are already halfway through the semester.

Any suggestions??

If you're not able to get the grade you need, I would suggest dropping.

It may put you a little behind, but if you were to stay in and do poorly you might end up having to take the class again anyways.

If the school(s) you want to apply to will use your highest or most recent grade if you retake the class and if it's too late to get your money back, I'd stick out the class and just do your darnest to get the grade up. That way if you do have to retake it you'll know what to expect for the whole class, not just the first half.

You have to look at programs you're interested in see what their policies are like when it comes to if they accept withdrawls and how many. you want less w's as possible.

A and p is not a jokey class. You have to put a lot time into studying and real, true efforts. being able to understand the material is one thing, you also must apply it to circumstances too. sometimes you read a chapter more than once and re read some paragraphs that don't make sense. it takes time to have the info soak up into you and to actually really understand what's going on will take some time too. you can't fall behind reading the chapters because if you do you'll get lost and of course info builds up upon the previous stuff.

Thanks for the input guys & sorry for the late response! I ended up sticking through and on my way to a B. it required a lot of work though!!

Good luck on your upcoming last exams and quizzes. keep studying!
