Help on hiring process

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hey guys, I hope this is the right forum section to post this on.

Im trying to get a job as a ER PCT in the hospital I work at, I currently work in transport and I have my EMT which is required for the job, I also volunteered in the same ER for a year for over 300 hours. I submitted my application online a few weeks ago and I also emailed the manager. I hadn't heard anything about a week ago so I asked the director and she wasn't sure if the position had been filled or not but she took my name, last week one of the charge nurses was even kind enough to place my resume on the managers desk on Monday. I'm not sure what else I can do, I only go to the ER about once a shift so maybe 3 times a week and I rarely see management. Should I just walk up to her and try to introduce myself, I just feel awkward because I know she has seen my name on several pieces of paper and has still not called me yet so don't want to seem annoying. Any opinions??? All help appreciated!
