Has anyone been accepted into the ASN program at Ivy Tech with a B in APHY101?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I am currently attending the Ivy Tech-Indianapolis campus in hopes of getting into the Nursing program. When I enrolled, I was told that I had to get an A in both Anatomy classes to get accepted into the ASN program. Now that this semester is coming to an end, it looks like I am probably going to get a B in the class. My advisor told me a few weeks ago that I could still get in to the program as long as I do well on my TEAS test. However, I have heard from quite a few people in my class that they had to retake the course because they got a B the first time around. Has anyone gotten a B in either Anatomy class and been accepted into the ASN program at the Indianapolis campus? I have also thought about applying to the Anderson campus or IUPUI if all else fails but I am really starting to worry!! Any

Are you talking about the Lawerence campus? It is very hard to get into there. I live in Anderson and am hoping to get into there but I have all A's in the 4 classes. There are only 20 seats at the Anderson campus. Not that many. I know of a few people who have applied with B's in A&P so we will have to wait and see. I will have a better idea at the end of May. I did get a 78 on the Teas and I think I have one of the highest scores. If I were you I would look to score in the 80s on the Teas to try and make up for the 10 points you are going to lose.

I would try to apply to as many different campuses as you can. I have heard do if the campuses outside Indy are easier to get into . I know the Lafayette campus has about half as many people apply as Indy. I am trying to get into a BSN program at another college. Most hospitals around Indy do not want ASN but want a BSN. Good luck!!
