Entrance Test Anxiety

Hi!!!

I am in pre nursing classes and getting ready to apply to schools for my ADN. I AM FREAKING OUT OVER THE TEAS AND THE HESI A2. I have books for both and have been studying and going over the practice tests, etc, but I just don't feel prepared AT ALL!!!! Anybody else feel this way? Any advice? I am most concerned with the math section. How involved is the Algebra? I can get to a point, but after that, it's UGLY!!!

Are the study guides harder than the test itself??

I am so there. I mean, I only have to take the NET but it's still a nightmare for me. What I am doing is studying everything and focusing on what I really don't know or understand. For example I won't make notecards on simple addition but when it comes to fractions I will surely have notecards made. I took a practice test first from the practice book to see where I stand. Personally I felt like I did poor on all sections so I am studying all of the sections. So far my verbal scores have increased dramatically but I haven't gotten to the math and science. I hope this helps and if it doesn't I hope it's good to know that someone else is in your shoes. :)

I feel you, I truly understand. I ran out of time on the math portion of the NET. I was so close to passing and I blew it. I have a copy of the HESI A2 study guide if you want. I know for sure to brush up on ratios, percentages, fractions and decimals. If you are good with basic algebra you will be fine. So if you need the study guide PM me with your email. Good Luck.

I have the HESI A2 book and another book Barrons Nursing school Entrance Exams, so I have information, but there is so much to cover and if I knew what "really" to concentrate on only, I would be fine. I wish my school would give a review session so you knew what to expect on the test..
