DEP2004 - how was it for you?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

So even though I've been accepted into nursing core, they require us to do our pre-reqs while enrolled in the program, actual core begins a year from now. My school does a one class per month format (with long long lecture days). My first month (read: next week) is Lifespan Development, aka DEP2004, also known as Developmental Psych.

My question to you: have you taken it yet? How did you fare? Did you have to write a 3 ring binder full of papers? ;)

Thanks and wishing you all luck in your current classes

My Developemental Psyc. class was pretty easy. At the community college I went to you listened to lectures, went on line and did assessments based on the lecture, read the chapter(s) you were going over that week, and did the online quiz (which you could as many times as you wanted till you got the grade you wanted). The only hard part was that we had to do an 18 page biography on someone over 65, it really wasn't that bad as long as you choose someone who is fairly interesting ;). Good luck!

I hope I get to do that! My Grandma is the best person I know, and she's 80 and still kicking butt painting her house and maintaining the prettiest garden on Long Island! That would be soooo awesome. Thanks for your reply!!!

I found Dev. psych easy. We had to do the biography as well which wasn't bad. Also, we had "proejects" for the major parts of life: find 5 articles every new mother should read, design our own high school program, etc. You'll be fine :)

Thanks! I hope that's what mine is like because that sounds a lot more fun than your typical 10 page APA paper on a subject so dry you could sand walls with it :x
