omg my gosh, I hadn't realized I left out that detail, thank you. It's for my nursing school application. I am applying for an accelerated BSN.

I have googled and am coming up with seemingly endless samples of cover letters for nursing jobs and none for nursing school

Does the school to which you're applying have any prompts or anything?

I never had to write a cover letter for school (just an essay), but I would take a similar approach to what I wrote in my job letter. Why I'm a stellar candidate, what I bring to the table, how I will work toward the company's/school's goals, etc. Consider taking the same approach (so the Googled letters would still help), and see what you come up with.
