  1. Hello, I am a new grad with two great offers from Beth Israel Deaconess and Brigham and Women's Hospital. I'm having trouble deciding which position to accept, and wondering if anyone has any suggestions or insight. The BWH position is a float pool position, per diem to start. However I've been told that her per diem staff are offered full-time pretty quickly. And new grads aren't typically offered a full-time position initially. anyone have experience with float pool or bwh?? BID position is full-time on an adult medical floor. I know that BWH is union and BID is not. Not sure which is peferred? I've heard pros and cons to both. Pay is good either way. With bwh I won't have benefits at first, but I'm covered with that for awhile. training seems to be great at both hospitals. And managers seem great off the bat. I guess it's just a matter of float or a home unit and which hospital is best to start at? Thoughts??

  8. It's in the title, but to reiterate: how do you view the role of nurses in health care? This is a response I must include in my nursing application essay and I'm having difficulty figuring out which areas to highlight and what are the most fundamental things to note? any tips?
  9. omg my gosh, I hadn't realized I left out that detail, thank you. It's for my nursing school application. I am applying for an accelerated BSN. I have googled and am coming up with seemingly endless samples of cover letters for nursing jobs and none for nursing school
  10. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could share a cover letter. I've been looking for some samples online and having a hard time finding any. Thank you!
  11. This is a general question for PMHNPs/psychiatric nurses. Why did you choose this specialized field (vs. Family NP for instance)? How did you know it was for you? Advice for those interested in pursuing a PMHNP career?
