CNA skills test

I think anyone can pass or fail this test. People who pass the first time think everyone who doesn't is a moron. But, I really believe everyone makes at least one miss that could fail them every time.

I think it's a numbers game and each outcome is at the mercy of the tester. It's also a money issue and I would believe the testing site's sincerity if the retest fees were cheaper.

I passed my first time but I would no way think anyone who didn't was a moron. It was intimidating. Probably nerves account for some failures too.

I passed the first time and I do think the tester and testing site do give variable in who passes or fails. My tester barely paid attention and although I am sure I did everything correctly, she may have missed someone who did something wrong.

I also think anyone could pass or fail the test. lol.

I passed the first time and I don't think anyone can pass or fail. When I tested the reason the one girl in our group failed is her vitals.... I think that is the most important part and as long as you are hitting the required steps on everything else you can pass. Vitals I made sure I was very comfortable with especially blood pressure. I read through my skills a bunch of times three days leading up to my test and reread all my test material from class. I think if you do that and your vitals are solid you will do fine :)

When I took my CNA certification over 7 years ago, I passed my first time that I tested. Just because I was able to pass my first time doesn't mean that I think that those who don't are "morons", as I would think that most over people would not think so also. Testing sites can make a big difference, although I will say that the tester you will have for your certification will be easier to deal with than state surveyors will ever be. If the person who is administering the test for your certification the way they should be, they are making sure that you have the necessary skills to take care of a patient properly without placing them within harm. The goal is to access that a person is able to perform the required skills properly and safely. While testing take your time to make sure that you do all the steps that need to be completed. When taking blood pressure take the BP a second time if you don't feel completely confident on your first reading. Finally once a completed task is finished, review over the steps that you took, if you remember that there was something that you forgot to do, make sure to verbalize what you would have done differently before saying that you are done.
