The application process hasn't even started yet but I didn't even find out about last year's scholarship until a couple days before the deadline. I did get my application in on time but was not fortunate enough to be a recipient. I intend to apply again for the upcoming scholarship. Any tips from those that were accepted? My EFC is 0, I'm in an undergraduate program, and my GPA is 3.4.

For any credit monitoring service you just have to look under alerts, to find who is looking into your credit. You do want to make sure that the service you use gives you alerts from all three credit reporting agencies. They might not show you credit report from all three, but there are many that show you alerts and inquiries from all three. I choose to use truecredit.com it is not free, it is $7.95 a month and is fabulous. I keep close track of my credit and is more than worth the 8 bucks a month. NSP seems to check through Equifax and Experian, so if anyone wants to check to see if there credit has been pulled you need to make sure that whatever service you use shows inquiries from one or both of those companies.

I was wondering what everyone's EFC was that had their credit checked?

Mine is 0 and I'm also in a BSN program so I would guess first funding preference.... But I don't see that my credit has been checked so I'm feeling nervous!

Looking at last year, many people didn't have their credit checked well into August. Mine hasn't been checked either but still hopeful.

My credit was pulled on the 17th and my EFC is 0.

Mine was pulled on the 16th from experian..EFC 0, ABSN program

Do you guys think I have a chance even though my EFC is NOT 0? I applied but I feel like I don't. :/

First preference is 0-5000 for EFC. So it really depends. Good luck!!

Does anyone know when they gave out the first living stipend last year? I know it says no later than Nov. but wanted to ask someone who actually received the scholarship!

My credit was pulled on the 17th and my EFC is 0.

Does anyone who has had their credit pulled mind telling where they are from ? I'm from Indiana and I hear they do it by region... Haven't had mine pulled yet by the way
