Hello, I'm wondering who all has been conditionally accepted into the Fall 2013 MSN/FNP program at CSUDH. I have been and would love to talk about the program. Have any of you heard about the program, classes, instructors, and I'm a bit confused about the clinical requirements. Are they due THIS July 15 or NEXT July 15?

Hi, did you end up getting in "accepted" to the FNP program?

I actually did end up getting accepted. I'm finishing up my first semester in December. In total, 16 were accepted, but 2 dropped early on. Are you/have you applied to this program as well?

Hi, yes I am in too - I had wonderful first semester - it went way better than I thought it could go! how about you?

Hello!

Just wondering if anybody here took the advanced graduate pathophys class at CSUDH? I'm considering enrolling in it via open course (non-degree seeking) to boost my application for CRNA school. Is the course doable? Is receiving an 'A' possible if I put the work in? How many hours a week will this course require? It's a semi-local school for me, and the cost for non-degree seeking students can't be beat.

Thanks!

I took that class at CSUDH. I thought it was doable. Pros: Online. Cheap. Advice: Don't waste money purchasing a new book. I would purchase a really old version or not buy it at all. The class required you to purchase an online module package (companion to the text book) for $60 which is all you really need. I got an A+. I dedicated about 15 hrs a week to this class if I had to guess.

Getting an A was definitely possible! I ended up getting a 95%. You have to put in a lot of time and effort, but that's how it is with every class. I probably put in 10-15 hours a week. I did read all the chapters, and I went over the slides on evolve (you have to purchase the module packet). The slides were especially helpful, and this was the only class that had it. It's also a cheaper alternative in my opinion.

Hi. I am admitted conditionally to CSU DH for fall 2015. I have read a lot of negative comments about the selection and steps to being accepted.

Since you were accepted, what do you think made the difference between you and someone else?

1. grades

2. Graduate writing examination

3. Essays?

Any advice to do well so that I am chosen or any advice at all? You seem to like it so any tips is appreciated.

Thank you!!!
