is anyone going to the interviews for the tupelo, ms. component crna program from ut-chat. thats being held on 10/26?

I'm not, sorry. But, I did find out a couple of days ago that I'm interviewing at Chat. I haven't gotten the letter yet (the secretary told me before she mailed them out) so I don't know the date/s of the interview. I'm assuming you are interviewing. If so, good luck and let us know how it went!

i believe she got it around the 1st wk of oct. matter of fact she had her interview today, had'nt had a chance to talk to her yet about how she did or how many interviewed or questions, but i do know they were to meet a group of students and a few instructors and maybe a few clinical crna instructors and even the director from ut-chat. i really was'nt aware this interview was early compared to the main site interviews, i suppose they give alittle time ahead of the curve so you can find a place to stay in chat while you're there over the 1st semester. who knows.

I hope her interview went well. Mine is on the 30th of November. Did they mention to her when her group would hear who got accepted? I wonder if that decision will fall earlier than ours since the interviews were by a month.

If you are able, let me know how her interview went. I spoke with the sectretary for a while so I have a general idea, but I'm curious how in-depth their questioning got with your friend. I couldn't really tell if it was focused on clinical application or more of a get-to-know sort of thing.

We are supposed to come up with a patient situation that stands out and their questions will start from that. However, the interview is only about 15 minutes. So...

In any event, I would love to hear about her experience if you can share it.

Thanks in advance!

talked to her over the weekend, she felt like the interview went well. last about 25-30min, there was a whole pannel of people, program director, site cordinator, clinical instructor, clinical mda,and senior yr students. she felt the interview was non-intimidating but they were very direct in questions. asked her all the "get to know you" stuff, why you want to be a crna, why this program, tell me about yourself and major goals and goals that you have failed at and passed. also asked about basic vent manegment, vasoactive drugs, and a few parralytics. she said she got a lot of questions on propofol and succinylcholine. they also asked her to talk them through a interesting patient that she took care of, and they asked her a few questions involving her care for that pt. they told her that she should hear something from them maybe a few days before thanksgiving. give me a post if i can help you anymore, good luck...

I have an interview at UTC on November 30 as well. I also heard the same information about an interesting patient and diprovan from another student who went to UTC.

supersleeper and dedern1, the 2 coworkers of mine that interviewed for ut-chat "tupelo site" have been accepted to the course. got their letters in the mail around 11/16-11/17. they are both excited and i'm excited for them. hope you guys do well with the upcomming interview.

Thanks, RN1980. I'm really excited for them, too.

I am a little nervous about the "Patient that stands out" question. I have so many from working in a top CVICU and running codes every time I work that it is hard to pick. I also don't want to set myself up for a barrage of detailed questions while I'm sitting in one of the most important interviews of my life! I'm not sure my brain could accomodate that.

I have an a.m. interview on the 30th and at this point will just be glad when it's over.

DeDeRN1, are you in the a.m. or p.m. group?

Hey RN1980 I was just curious if your 2 friends that were accepted to the program at Tupelo are employees at NMMC. I am and that is the program I am intrested in.
