GRE not required...


I like most as it sounds have some anxiety r/t taking the GRE. This is why I have found a few schools that I like that don't require the GRE. My question is do these schools expect people to have taken the GRE even though it's not required for them? Thanks

from what I understand they don't expect you to have taken it as they do not use it to figure it in their decisions...

I would guess up to 30% of schools don't require the GRE, nor do they look at GRE scores. Look at the websites of schools and look at admissions requirements.

University of maryland
university of iowa
university of medicine and dentistry of new jersey
miswestern university (arizona)
university of pennsylvania (if your bsn gpa is over 3.2)
georgetwon university (if your bsn gpa is over 3.2)
duke university (if your bsn gpa is over 3.2)
just to name a few...........

Go to AANA.com and look up accredited programs in all the states that you would consider attending. Then click on the link to the program home page provided at aana.com and check out the requirements. It's the easiest way. Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville and Barnes Jewish (both in St. Louis, MO area) do not require the GRE.
