I didn't see a thread, so I started one.

I am planning on applying this fall for the Direct Entry MSN program. Anyone else?

Hey guys- just to throw my thoughts out there- I think each school has its own 'secret recipe' for what it is that they are looking for and we will never know exactly what it is. I will say I walked out of my MSM interview thinking I kinda blew it and that's where I got in. I seriously walked out of Western's saying "i nailed it!" (i actually texted that to my best friend) so that goes to show- we just cant know. Also- if misery loves company- the rejection yesterday was my 7th.

All we need is one yes to get us on the road....

Just remember, despite what can sometimes feel like insurmountable obstacles- if you believe with your whole heart you can do it, you will make it!

OK- that's the end of my pep talk. Hang in there.... keep your chins up!

Thanks BeesMama...I am just trying to make sense of it all! I also know someone who's last name starts with a V that received a rejection yesterday so there really must be no order (my last name starts with N so I was a little worried they might be going backwards). I wonder if they sent all the rejections or if this was just the first batch? Not knowing what is going on is making this a much more stressful experience. I wish they had just waited until they knew everything for sure (like most schools do) and sent out all the acceptances/rejections at once so there wasn't this constant guessing game!

I completely agree. I wish everything went out all at once. I think they need to streamline their process so people can just know their status already.

I know this is just as much of a guess as anything, but what I am picturing is "happening" is that they (though they say they don't) have ranked us. As they go through applications, they have sent out people they know they want for sure - and those of us that are "waiting" are in some sort of unsure/ranked pile. The people that have received rejections must be out of the "running" by some sort of measure and they sent them rejection notices. Not sure if you ever watched Biggest Loser - but you know how they have that line? If you fall below it, you are for sure gone? I know it's kind of a silly analogy, but that is what has popped into my head recently.

I had a similar thought process. That is why I am wondering if they sent out all the rejections and now are they trying to decide who is in vs. who is an alternate? I have to say that I will not be very happy if after all this I receive a rejection letter...I would rather have received it already so I could just know instead of being strung along another week or two just to hear no.

I really want to think that if Western knew for sure we were a no, they would have sent it. I don't see any value in holding on to that info. But I could be wrong.

What are your predictions? I have a feeling we won't hear anything until next week at least...but I would not be upset if Western proved me wrong!

I'd like to think we hear something this week, but I think that is unlikely. They love Tuesday and Wednesday to send out information it seems like. I am going to hope for Tuesday of next week. I would really like to be able to enjoy my weekend though! haha
