I didn't see a thread, so I started one.

I am planning on applying this fall for the Direct Entry MSN program. Anyone else?

Got my rejection too... Came in at 4:50 and was titled Application Status. Fortunately I have been accepted at Mt St Mary's though.... Starting in May. Good luck to everyone! Wish you all the best. With any luck well find ourselves working together as nurses one day :)

@superfryk Thanks for the info. I was really curious as to what it would be titled since I was informed rejection and alternates would be notified through snail mail.

Congrats on the acceptance at Mt. St. Mary's!!

What program did you apply to? I went to a nursing info session and they told me they didn't have MSN-E, unless I went to the wrong campus?

I think I could find some more peace and acceptance about this had I not been an alternate last year AND more interviews. No offense AT ALL to those who have received an invite...this is directed at the school :) but it just makes absolutely no sense to me.

I'll call and hopefully speak to DM to get some kind of closure.

Btw, the email came from MC...when I saw her name it wasn't attached with a good feeling. Ugh.

And yes MSM has no ELMSN just ABSN. But hey, hopefully that means ill be working again in little over a year. (Looking in the bright side) :) cheers my dears!!!

Oh my God..! I just got home from work and got surprised with all your posts!!:( I'm really sorry everyone... Please don't let this discourage you to continue pursuing your dreams. Getting into the health field is really difficult! Keep in mind that we are competing with a mass number of people that want to do exactly what we want to do. I wish you the best!!!

Has anyone on here or just reading this thread been given an email or letter stating that they ate on the alternate/waitlist? Just curious if people have been notified for that

I was reading everyone's post and I'm sorry!! :( But I agree with others, please don't get discouraged! Remember admissions are arbitrary and you will achieve your dream of being a nurse.

Western is missing out on some awesome future nurses.

Our determination to be what we chose to be is BIGGER and STRONGER than any rejection letter.

It's not about the number of times we fall, but the number of times we get back up!!!;)
