    Hey Hi616

Just saw your message! Thank you so much for that! I totally agree with you on your points! I'm thinking of flying down to Nashville for their orientation session March 1st - were you thinking of going down then?

Keats717 did you get the email from Vanderbilt on Friday saying your application was still under faculty review?

If I get in, I'll consider a last minute trip down. I actually visited the school in December already so at least I have some kind of basis for judgment.

No I didn't actually - I called them on Thursday and explained that I had to make a decision soon and they told me I had been admitted and they were in the process of sending out my admissions decision via mail

That's right - you mentioned that hi616... What did you think of Nashville as a city? Im used to Boston where I walk out my apartment and rely completely on public transit

Funny you mention public transportation because that is the first difference that comes to mind. I, too, am used to relying completely on public transit. Nashville has city buses, but no subway or train system of sorts. I'm not really sure how often the buses run. I would probably have a car if I lived there I think.

I've never been to Boston, but I've asked people and they seem to think it has more of a city feel than Nashville even though they have similar populations. You definitely can't beat the live music in Nashville though, that's for sure!

I agree with your point on the nashville live music factor!

Boston definitely has a city feel! There are so many incredible restaurants, bars, historical sites, hospitals (a whole area called Longwood dedicated to the major hospitals), colleges, etc, and has a lot of cultural diversity! There are so many people who live in the city from all walks of life, and I am never without places to go and people to go with! You can drive to the beach in roughly 45 mins and jump out to the revolutionary war historical areas within 20 mins. it's really an incredible city and I love it here!

Honestly, I think Nashville will have to wow me for me to decide I want Vandy. Boston is just so awesome!

Ah awesome! Where do you go now? I'm at Loyola.

I also applied to Vanderbilt but haven't heard anything. I'm still waiting to hear from Northeastern, Rush (my interview is on Wednesday), and will still probably apply to UIC even though we won't find out about that until May. In addition to my acceptances at Marquette and BC, I've heard no from MGH Institute and am on the waitlist for U of Rochester, but I'm really not a fan of their program anymore anyway.

If you're seriously considering BC you should add me on facebook so we can talk more! find me with my email - kbell6@luc.edu.

If anyone else is considering BC please add or message me on facebook too as I'd love to talk about pros/cons, living situations, etc.

kateb4, I'm curious, why aren't you a fan of the University of Rochester's program? I'm wondering because I applied for admission into their fall 2013 program.
