Time to Issue New License

Does anyone know the average length of time it takes for PA to issue a temporary and/or permanent RN license by endorsement? They have had my paperwork for over two weeks now. I am anxiously awaiting the issuance of my license so that I can start applying for jobs in PA. Thank you in advance for any info that you can provide.

I don't know if things have changed, but when I moved to PA in the 1990's, they would not issue a temporary permit unless you had a job offer. My employer had to submit paperwork in order for me to get a permit.

The license followed soon after. I don't think it took more than a month or so.

i'm moved to PA 2 years ago and I received my temporary license before ieven had an interview at the hospital where i'm still employed at until now. I worked at the hospital with my temporary license for about 11months because i didn't know if I was going to like PA ,and when I decided to stay I applied for my permanent license which didn't take that long to get.

I didn't bother getting a temporary permit. The licensure by endorsement took about 3-4 weeks, somewhat slowed down because I didn't have a SSN and needed to fill in a waiver form.

The current application allows one to obtain a temporary permit based on current licensure in another state.
