Is My Teas V Score High Enough for DCCC Acceptance to the Nursing Program?

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Hello,

I am taking the TEAS V this Tuesday. I have studies for the past three months intensely. I have been receiving scores of 81-85% on the practice tests. Is this good enough where if I score that on the actual test, I can relax and have peace of mind until I hear if I was accepted to the program? Thanks.

Well, dont rely on the practice percentage, take the actual practice assesment which is online both part A and B, then you will know whether you are competitive. .am also applying to dccc for fall 2014, although I might not take that route cos of my GPA which will give me scholarships at widener..

And if dccc doesn't accept you, Ccp will surely accept you, if u have some of your prerequisite with chemistry

I scored an 83% adjusted overall score and that put me in the 92nd percentile for the nation and the 93rd percentile for the program at DCCC. My score was labeled as Advanced. I hope that is competitive enough to be accepted in 2014.

Congrats on scoring so high. Your definitely in with a score that high. Just make sure you get you application in early just in case there is a delay with the rest of your paperwork.

Im freaking out as well. I took it last week. I got an 86% overall, but I know they first base it on the Reading score, which was a 90% for me. I feel like because its reading it should be almost at 100%? I hate that they dont tell you until the winter. I am debating taking it a 2nd time- so stressful I just dont know what to do!

Wow, that is an unbelievable score. Congratulations. I am applying for the Chester County Program which only has thirty-two seats available instead of the more common Delaware County Section with ninety-six seats. I am hoping that an 83% overall is good enough. I took it a second time and scored the same. I look at it like this, an 80% or above is still in the 90th percentile or higher for the nation which is still very impressive. I got a 94% for my Reading score and a 73% for my Science score. Since they take those two scores first, I am hoping they are high enough. Best of luck to you. Keep us up to date.

Thanks so much, congrats to you for an awesome score! Your reading score is awesome and that's what really helps. That's my concern with my score. Good luck! Stay in touch :)

Thanks very much! Congrats to you as well! Thats a great reading score and that really matters- good for you :) This is all so scary.. I just want to know! I think I might take again just to see what happens. Good luck, keep in touch!

Thank you very much as well! After doing much research on other scores for this program and as well as around the country, I would say that we have a good shot at getting in for Delaware County. It seems that most people score in the seventies and a few in the eighties. Good luck if you test again!

I scored a 72 overall with a 71 in reading. i got 70's on all other sections since they are basing it off of each sections score.

think i have a chance??? I'm going for chester county which only has 32 seats. (going for day) already handed in petition and have most pre-reqs done.

Oh hey! I just replied to you on another thread, but I don't know which on you will see. I guess it's too late, but I was saying that taking the TEAS again is never a bad idea. My score increased A LOT on the second one. I got in on an 84, but I know people who came in on a 72. It all depends how the other applicants did. But 72 isn't bad.
