I'm trying to get student feedback on Gwynedd-Mercy's weekend Associates in nursing program. Ut's a 2 year program for 2nd degree holders, and you only attend Sat & Sundays. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

I attended GMC for my MS in Ed Admin and the nursing students seemed very happy, although I didn't have interaction with them. I saw a bunch when we had to pick up our caps & gowns for graduation and asked them and they said they loved it. I'm still considering them, but I thought the ASN is a day program the program you are talking about is the 2nd degree BSN. I definitely won't go if its a 2nd degree ASN program. But anyway the campus is gorgeous and the staff are very nice.

I talked to the admissions, and they said I have to get an ASN before getting a BSN. But they offer a weekend ASN option for those who already a bachelor's in nother field.

Oh well. For me, a two year ASN at GMCs tuition is not an option, too much for me to pay out of pocket for AS, I would def take two yrs and just do Eastern Univ BSN. Had to use loans for my MS. But I did hear that it was a great program.

I'm in the same boat as you, I had to use my loans for my MPH at University. So I need to find the cheapest route, but a quality nursig education at the same time. It's difficult.

Plus a 2 year ASN isn't really accelerated. The ASN at CCP is 2 years, and much cheaper!

Exactly hiddencat. I would def do CCPs program before goin to GMC. Now if we are talkin quality truthfully GMC would not be a first choice anyway. , Jefferson, and Abington have great NCLEX pass rates. For me, I need a the best quality my money can buy.
