Hello everyone :) Does anyone know of a good online site that offers education on pediatric ventilators - especially the types that are used in a homecare situation? Thank you in advance :heartbeat

Try to find some sites that are intended for parents of kids with new trachs and vents, they are well written and easy to understand. I suggust a google search, I have seen such websites though I dont remember them anymore :(

What kind of vent do you have a question on? I have worked alot with LTVs (950, 1150) (LTVs are the only ones I have seen in homecare, the rest was at a pedi SNF), Achievas, Newports and LP10s. If you have any questions, PM me

there are some sites on the the pulmonary forums on here I believe. Also the vent comes with a manual (should be close to the vent, hopefully), and if a good respiratory supply company rents the ventilator, there should be a manual from them as well that would have FAQs about the vent. If not, you should be able to contact a RT from the ventilator supplier 24 hours a day.
