Ok my dd is 2 she has asthma and had a flu shot last year, she been sick this week and i brought her to the doc he wanted to hospitalize her but her lungs and stuff cleared up a after a shot and good breathing treatment( i am guessing the meds he use in his doc office is stronger than meds i have at home, maybe his has steriods) well any way he wants me to bring her next week for a flu shot, even though i know she has had it last year, all the new stuff i been hearing about mecury in the flu shot and that its causing autisum is scarying me now. Whats really deal about the shot, i know if my dd don't get it she may get sick and end up hospitalize any little cold makes her extremly sick. i mean a little cold from her brother made her real sick, so i want to do the right thing for her because i know if she catches the flu, i know she will be in trouble.any help woul be appreciated:)

The best thing to do is ask the pediatrician if there is mercury in the particular vaccine he/she has. Not all of them have it -- I have seen some labeled "preservative free". Good luck.
