Pediatricians or pediatric nurses?

This is a nurses forum, so not a lot of Drs lurk...

Specializes in Nephrology, Cardiology, ER, ICU.

I agree - can you please be more specific.

not to be rude but yes i know this is a nurses forum but there is a reason why i choose to create this tread in the forum that said Pediatric Nursing. I didn't need a person in a specific career under pediatrics, it truly didn't matter just as long as you were a pediatrician you could have answered the questions. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough.

Specializes in Vents, Telemetry, Home Care, Home infusion.

pediatricians are medical doctors, unaware of any that participate in this forum is why members are asking as website is nursing based.

summary report

I think the reason people aren't sure how to answer is because pediatricians are the pediatric doctors...nurses are called pediatric nurses....

Also, some of the information, you could find at the Occupational Outlook website: http://www.bls.gov/oco/

But that's our point: there aren't any pediatricians lurking on nursing boards, that I or anyone else is aware of.

I don't quite understand what you're trying to get out of us nurses. Pediatricians are a special kind of doctor that work with kids. The role of a pediatrician (again, a DOCTOR that works with children) is extremely different from the role of a pediatric nurse (a NURSE who works with children). If you are wondering about nurses who work with children, you are at the right place, but if you want to know about the doctors who work with children, visit one of the above mentioned websites. We can't answer all these questions about pediatricians because we are not pediatricians and do not work closely enough with them to know the answers.
