Pct interview for davita

Nursing Students Technicians

Published

hello everyone :)

I had an interview for a pct position with davita, not sure how well I did because one (of the four) interview-ee's seemed to focus on the fact that I have no dialysis experience.

I passed the phone interview with flying colors, and the person I interviewed on the phone with said davita provides dialysis training for all technicians who are lacking the experience.

I'm just bummed. I have been doing hospice/dementia care since 2005 and was interested in dialysis so thought I'd give it a try.

hoping for the best anyway. :) I was interviewing for 2 different clinic locations so maybe I have a chance to be considered the right candidate.

anyone here who began at a dialysis clinic with zero dialysis experience?

Did you intern at Davita first? I'm getting ready to start my intern with Davita. I am super excited and ready to get started. I was told that if positions open up on the area I would be able to apply once I've finished the hours that I needed. However, I was told that I would have to go through Davita's training which was 4 months (maybe). Anyway, just wondering if it would be paid training. I too went to school for medical assisting and was surprised when they decided to send me to a dialysis center. Again, I am very excited and want to learn as much as I can so that I can get my foot in the door.

No I started out at Fresenius medical, it's a dialysis clinic also. After leaing I went to Daita. So I only trained for 4 weeks because I am already certified. But yes you would hae like 4 months of training, they do pay you while you train. It's a good job with good benefits. The patient care techs do alot of work on the floor and back in the water room. I am finishing up prereqs to get back in nursing school, I only work one day a week. You will get a preceptor to train you. Any more questins just ask me:)

Hi cookie monster I was wondering where you did your dialysis training I just got my cna lisence and I am interested in becoming a dialysis/pct tech live in the NYC area thanks.

How is the pay for pct

May I asked what the starting pay is

How long did it take them to call u back for an interview...i had applied...took their assessment test...its stated in my email that they forwardef everything to the manager...the next step is up to the manager

@ cnickyxoxo1 what was the assessment like? like some of the questions or things they had you doing in the assessment??

Hello, I had a phone interview last week and I had my formal interview yesterday. I'm really not sure how it went because two of the FA's didn't seem interested. It kinda intimidated me. They said there are 8 positions I just hope I'm selected for one. I've never been to an interview and felt intimidated. Oh well I'm wishing for the best

I applied 2 weeks ago. I had my phone interview yesterday and was contacted the very next day to set up a face to face interview. so wish me luck my interview is 12/05/17

any updates?

Does anyone know how long after you apply for DaVita PCT they send the assessment?

I've been a SAHM for 18-years & am looking to get back into work force. I like the idea of doing medically related jobs, but am having no luck getting a job interview at all, much less one that provides training after 100's of applications (in just about every field). I've applied to DaVita as a PCT trainee twice in last year, but never heard back. I have a B.S. Degree in Biology, recent part-time work experience, volunteer experience- but no luck getting interviews. It's definitely much, much harder to get hired when you are over 40. Thinking I may go back to school for Clinical Lab Tech instead. Just dread the idea of spending money when I need to be making money. At this point though, I don't see a lot of options. I applied to nursing school about 5-years ago and didn't get in (had 98th percentile TEAS score, mediocre GPA-although A's in all the prerequisites for nursing). So, my TEAS has expired and I need to take it again to go back to school-ugh! Feel like I'm just going in circles. Would be happy to just work anywhere at this point.
