  1. Uc Davis is hiring cnas? And dept of corrections is as well?
  2. I love it. You might be uncomfortable for a day but thats it. If you really want out i always just tell the agency to get me out lol.
  3. You didnt waste your time at all. You'll make a much better nurse in the long run. If your salary is good at ups then stay there. My bfs uncle has worked for them forever.
  4. Whoops, sorry i was thinking this was a diff thread lol!
  5. Not too sure what you mean. But if you want to be an lvn, gotta go to lvn school. If you want to be a ma, likewise. :)
  6. Yea the ma programs i was referring to also included general education.
  7. Cool! Thats where i grew up! I work out of walnut creek now.
  8. There are some ma programs around my area that are 7 or 9 months but heald and carrington college offer associate of applied science degrees.
  9. i live in california, about 30 min from SF
  10. go work for davita. they will hire you no matter what your exp, because they are gonna have to retrain you for dialysis anyway. i know it can be a crap place to work, but you will have a job, 401k, benefits, and only have to work 3 days a wk, and can always move up to FA or whatever you wanna do. good luck :)
  11. carrington is an okay school, i don't know anyone who has gone to gurnick. i do know people who went to CSI career college (now called blake austin) in vacaville, and they loved it.. good luck :)
  12. CNA's only make like $11 where i live, MA's are like $15-$18 depending on where you work. I would recommend Everest and Heald. I know graduates from both schools for MA program, and all are doing really great.
  13. while i have considered nursing for a good amount of time, what draws me to medical assisting is that i most likely will not have to work holidays, just have a normal "9-5" ish schedule. the LVN program where i live is actually shorter than the MA program by 6 months. LVN is about a year here, unless i went to a CC/JC and earned an associates. the LVN program and MA program are both offered at vocational college, so LVN is 11 months, MA is 18.
