OHSU acceptances/alternates

U.S.A. Oregon

As OHSU had just sent out all their letters, I thought I'd start a thread about it.

I am a 27 year old student who figured out a little later than some that I wanted to go into nursing and have spent the last 2 years doing my prerequisites.

Today I received a letter from OHSU that I'm on their alternate list. I originally applied to the Ashland campus but am going to mark that I will go wherever there is a spot open if my number comes up. I've gone through a bunch of rejections, so I was super excited that I am at least close to accepted at OHSU. I was starting to feel dejected and frustrated.

anyone else out there in my same shoes our maybe got into OHSU? If so congrats and if not my advice would be to not give up hope. Hoping a spot opens up for me! :)

It appears that OHSU is making their second round on filling spots for the Portland program.

I just got the call. I look forward to meeting those of you on the Portland campus in fall. :)

Congrats! I'm sure that made your day :)

I'm very excited! I had just decided to accept that I didn't get in and move on.

The giggling and hooting you guys hear from just north of the Columbia River is me - pay no mind.

That's exactly how I felt! I even started to apply for childcare and hospital (or both combined) jobs in Portland. Funnily enough, one job just contacted me today for an interview. I'll have to tell them I didn't plan on getting into nursing school when I applied!

I was so excited I was literally shaking. And now I'm really impatient for my packet to come! Checking the mail everyday again!

Hello Buttercup and Reid!!!!

I am very happy for you two! You guys were on my mind even though we have never met and I am very happy to hear that you've made it to the program! Have a great summer and congrats again!

Thanks, yay. You as well!

Congratulations buttercup and Reid!
