OHSU Accelerated Bachelors to Masters 2011

U.S.A. Oregon

Published

Anyone else applying to OHSU's accelerated bachelors program this year? The application seems to be open, though I'm not seeing a place to select a specialty within it.

Did you guys end up doing the DNP program as well? I need to call them back today, but I haven't quite made up my mind...

I said yes to the DNP. Do you know if we find out about interviews before the holidays?

I also decided to do the DNP option.

I found out about UCSF today (interview!), but I'm not sure about Oregon. Honestly I thought the application deadline for the program was November 1st so I had everything in by then, but I got an email earlier this week that said the deadline was December 1st. If it was really December I can't imagine they will have the interviews scheduled that soon.

Applying to OHSU Portland campus, accelerated BSN. Undergraduate Programs Deadlines

But thank you for the heart palpitations I had before I rechecked!

I think our deadline was November 1. I was confused by that email too. I think it might be that the ABSN without the Masters has a different deadline.

Congratulations on UCSF.

If we said yes to the DNP we are still considered for just the MSN also, right?

I clarified this with them, and they said yes, you are considered for both programs (though it was unclear whether that means there are more available spots).

Does anyone know when OHSU sends out notifications about interviews?

I'm a little concerned because all of my materials show that they've been received except my GRE scores (sent directly from the GRE after I took the test). Is anyone else showing missing materials?

Hi babymidwife1,

I was told that interview invitations will be sent out in mid-January, interviews will be scheduled for late January, and decisions will be sent out in early March. Good Luck!

How are people going to get to an interview in late January if they only find out in mid-January?! I'm relatively close, so it's not a super huge issue for me (assuming I get an interview), but it seems like it would be if you lived on the east coast and needed to by a plane ticket.

Babymidwife - I know! I live on the east coast, and I have no idea how I am going to make it out there. But, at the risk of sounding hokey, if the universe is willing to give me a chance at OHSU, I'll make it work. I didn't get an interview at Yale or UCSF, so if I get one at OHSU I would free doubly excited!

I just received an email to interview for midwifery. The main days are the same as my Yale interview, but they have a second option. Did anyone else get the email?

I have an interview for midwifery too. Luckily it's the weekend before my UCSF & Yale interviews!
