I am on waiting lists of all schools I applied this year. Do you have any information about the alternate list of MHCC, for example the number of alternates and how many alternates will be likely accepted in the program each year? Thank you very much
So, we were down to 16 alternates left before last night, and I talked to the Dean last night at the meeting, and she said some people definitely didn't show up based on chair occupancy... we are welcome to call and speak to them, they will start calling people in about a week based on filling places of those who skipped the meeting, she also asked us to wait about a week so they could figure out where they were on the list again.

:nurse:You definetely have to go to the orientation if you are still interested, even if you are an alternate. Last year we had people moving from #38 on the alternate list to #6 the day after orientation, because a bunch of people didn't bother showing up for the mandatory orientation meeting. A no show for the meeting is an automatic out! You are also expected to start your required immunizations so you are ready to go when you get notified. The background check and drug screening was not required of the alternates until they were notified that they actually got accepted. All the requirements will be explained in the meeting, and you will also have a chance to ask questions. And yes, some people do get notified of their acceptance just within a day or two of the actual class start, so don't lose hope.
Good luck!
