    Does anyone know of any permanent job openings in Southern California hospitals? I have 1 year experience and specialize in CVOR and Opthalmology. I really would like to get out there by the end of September!

    Long Beach, CA: long beach memorial medical center. The parent company may have several other hospitals hiring as well. Main OR has positions. Not sure about CVOR. You'll have to google it and search job listings on line.

    Best way to get in is through a travel assignment at the best hospitals because they always ask you to sign on as regular employee anyway. There are ALWAYS positions available here in Southern Cali but traveling will give you a feel for which hospitals you would want to work for in the end.

    St John's Santa Monica, Cedars Sinai, Kaiser's, Children's Hospital, Huntington Memorial Hospital etc....all hiring in the O.R.

    I agree to try travel nursing if you can. Stick with hospitals in the areas that you are interested in for long term employment.
