Hello,

I am an RN at a 9 room OR in a hosp. in Ohio which is a Level II trauma center. We get $1.90 per hour same as the techs and LPN's. Call in guarantees 4 hours of pay. Straight time if not over 8hrs during the week or over 40 hours for the week for the weekends. Holidays no difference. Time and 1/2 if worked. Sounds as if others are doing much better!

These all sound pretty good. I am an ER nurse so I don't take call but my wife is an L&D nurse and she takes call 1-2 times a month. She gets $2/hr with straight time if called in. Salary is also below par. I've been a nurse for 3 yrs now in an ER that sees 20,000/yr and I make $17.69/hr with benefits. Administration JUST recently approved $1/hr more on weekends and time and a half for Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. No such thing as double time, or xtra pay for critical care. UPS drivers in my area make $25/hr. Union looking pretty good.

RNs and STs who carry the pager: $2/hrGetting called in: time and a half for a minimum of 3hrs (if case is less than 3 hrs, you still get paid for 3hrs)

No travel time

Time and a half when called in. 1/4% of hourly rate for holding beeper. We automatically get paid 4 hours if called in.
