UMSL Accelerated BSN Program Summer 2015

Nursing Students School Programs

I was curious if anyone else had heard anything from the school yet about admission into the program? I thought the school's myview account was a little confusing about which application had been admitted, for example: general admission vs actual program admission. Just looking for some others who may have applied :)

I applied. I haven't heard back, have you?

I gave them a call yesterday and the woman I spoke to said that they just started looking at the applications on October 15th, so her guess was that it would be sometime around the 29th that they would be mailing letters out. I don't know if you applied for the traditional track as well, but she said they wouldn't start looking at those applications until after the beginning of November.

I wonder why it's so late this year.

I'm not sure. The woman I spoke with did not offer me a reason as to why there was such a delay, but I can definitely keep you posted if I hear anything more.

Thanks. I live in Seattle so I'm sure you will hear before me.

Are you done with all the required classes?

I am currently enrolled in a few classes that they require before enrolment. I am taking human development, ethics, and economics this semester and then if I get into the program the only thing I will have left to take next semester would be the junior level English class. What about yourself?

I have to take my ethic, economics, and history classes. I'm waiting to see if I get in to take them because I don't need them for any other program. I wish they would hurry up. The lady I talked to Thursday said everything is processed they we're just waiting on the Dean l. I heard most people that apply get in. I'm still nervous about it though. Do you have a bachelors degree already?

Nope, I sure don't. Do you have one? Have you heard if it makes a big difference in the application process to have a degree already?

I don't either. I have a couple of friends who got in and they didn't have a degree.

Nothing today :\
