Hi!

I am applying to UBC's nursing program, September 2017 intake, for the first time this year! I was wondering if anyone who has been through the application process, or better yet has been admitted to the program, could give me some advice and/or reassurance? I have submitted my supplementary application and all of that, so I am basically just waiting now for my application to be updated. I am as of right now a second year Biochemistry Honours Student at the University of Calgary. I have taken all of the prerequisite courses and am sitting at a 4.0 GPA. I have been volunteering for some time now at the Alberta Children's Hospital, as well as with the Ronald McDonald House. I have held multiple volunteer positions and club positions around my University, as well as in my high school a few years back. The only real thing that I thing may count against me is my age, however I have met all of the prerequisites, have a great GPA, volunteer experience and really great references from professors at my University. I was just wondering how heavily weighted the fact that I am young is? Thank you and good luck to anyone else applying!
