Texas Tech Summer 2017 Traditional BSN

Nursing Students School Programs

Hey guys! I haven't found a discussion for TTU Summer 2017 BSN so I thought I'd start one! Let's talk TEAS test and scores, your stats, application, etc.!

Hi! I'm planning on applying for Summer 2017 also. I haven't taken my TEAS test yet, and I'm so nervous. Does anyone have any advice for the TEAS?

I plan to apply for the spring 2017 start date. I went and talked to an advisor at the Abilene campus yesterday. My stats are not amazing so I'm praying for an interview. My overall average on the TEAS was a 90%. I only have a 3.05 on my overall gpa and a 2.75 on my sciences. I am currently in an ADN program but my other half is being relocated to Abilene so I am looking to go to Tech. I have experience as a nurse intern at my local hospital. Hopefully my experience gives me some luck. If I am not accepted this time then I will work only my gpa in the meantime until the next admissions. What are your stats?

The TEAS review book helped me a lot.

Good luck getting into Abilene!!

I just got the ATI TEAS study manual, and it's great! There is so freaking much to study! I was going to take it tomorrow, but I'm not going to. I'm going to study for a few weeks first.

I'm going to apply for the Summer of 2017 here in Lubbock.

Does anyone know what the gpa of the pool of applicants looks like?

Hi! I have also applied to the Summer 2017 start for Tech in the Abilene location. My overall TEAS was a 78%, overall gpa is a 3.4 and my sciences are a 3.1. So, not amazing either. But I do have a previous bachelors degree in nutrition and I work as a Clinical Dietitian at a hospital in Lubbock, so hoping my job experience will help me get accepted. I finally got all my supplemental items in so now I wait!

Hey guys!

So I applied originally for Spring 17' 1st choice being Lubbock and 2nd choice Abilene. About a week after applying I received an interview for Abilene, which I went to. They offered me admission, but I denied to have a chance to be reviewed in Lubbock. I didn't get it, but they offered me guaranteed admission into Summer 17', so hopefully I'll be seeing some of you there!

Hi All,

I submitted my application to Texas Tech's Traditional BSN Program back in November with my first choice being the Lubbock campus and second choice Abilene.

My Overall GPA is a 3.0 and my Science GPA is a 2.75 I believe (I completed my prerequisite courses in high school so my grades aren't the best). And I got a 73% on my TEAS.

I know they give consideration to first generation college students and students with previous healthcare experience, so I am hoping that will put me at a slight advantage despite my horrid grades.

All of my supplemental items have been received but I have not received any emails or noticed any changes on my account.

Does anyone know if they give interviews? Or when we will be notified of acceptance?

Best of luck to all of you!

I was told they do interviews.

Hello, I am applying for summer 2017 also. My friend got in summer 2016 and her interview was at the end of January so we should know something the end of January to the first couple of weeks of February, hopefully!

Have any of y'all received any emails saying if you were accepted or not cause I'm kind of freaking our and worried I didn't get accepted.
