Hello everyone. Is anyone applying at Prairie View medical center in Houston ? For spring 2018?

I checked my mail hoping there was something, anything! Boy was I disappointed!! I talked to Ms.Anderson and she said not all acceptances were sent out but she couldn't tell me more. I wish I could just call and be told if I was accepted or not lol, this wait is killing me!!! I have an overall gpa of 3.8 & on my HESI I got a 94. Still being positive! Good luck to us all & hopefully we don't go insane í ½í¸‚

Do you have pending classes? I don't know how that's gonna be a factor but if it is, then I think Ms. Anderson hurt my case real bad cos she omitted chemistry from my evaluation and it shows I have two pending classes (including Busi 1307 which I'm currently taking). When I tried letting her know about the omission, she angrily said "there's nothing I can do cos I already sent it like that". I seriously can't waste my whole life on nursing school. Does PVAMU have a waiting list? Anyone got an idea how that works?

No I have no pending classes. I have my Associates, I graduated with honors last year. Apparently that didn't impress UT one bit! ... I hope it doesn't affect you, it wouldn't be fair since it's not your fault. However, pending classes doesn't mean you won't get accepted, some people have been accepted they just need to sent their final transcript. I understand! I took a break from school & I just feel like time is ticking & im trying to get into school! Waiting another semester will drive me crazy!!

Oh & about the waitlist , I'm sure they have one. However, I have no clue how it works. I'm assuming if someone doesn't take the acceptance they will give it to someone from the waitlist.

Oh cool. Thanks for taking the time to respond. I also had an associate last year. I guess this means I'll have to enlist by the end of the year cos time is ticking and I can't spend a life time trying to get into nursing school. Maybe after serving I'll figure what I want to do with the rest of my life.

Don't decide just yet, we haven't received anything! If something is received then you can make your decision. But whatever you decide I wish you the best! I wish everyone here the best, we all deserve this:)

I emailed Dr. Smith on Friday asking if there really were more acceptances to be received, I think she will give me a straight answer! If she emails me I'll let you know. I will also check the mail hoping to receive something, anything! Still holding on to the littlehope I have!

I'm starting think denial and acceptance letters have already been sent out and now it's wait list letter time. I don't know this wait is killing me I don't know what to think.

I agree. I think waitlist letters are coming! I read over some past forums and people received acceptances days after others, however I think I just really want to believe I'll be accepted! This really sucks!!!!
